The 11th annual
Escape the Rock Wrestling Tournament will bring together 46 teams on Saturday & Sunday, January 16 & 17, 2016 at Council Rock South High School in Holland, PA. Some top teams and individuals from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, New York, Massachusetts and West Virginia will be looking to take top honors.

The 2015 Escape the Rock Tournament was another outstanding showcase of talent, which included 20 State/Nat Prep champions, 114 State/Nat Prep medalists and 189 qualifiers. Bethlehem Catholic became the first three-time team champion, while Solanco’s  Bo Spiller and BECA’s Andrew Dunn & Jake Riegel each earned their second ETR belt. Georgetown Prep’s Eric Hong dominated the field at 132 with a major decision and three falls, but Anthony Cefelo of Hanover Park took home Outstanding Wrestler honors by downing Luke Karam in a thrilling victory to win a bracket that featured 5 nationally ranked wrestlers. The ETR alumni list of successful college wrestlers also continues to grow. There have been two NCAA D1 National Champions who competed at ETR, as well as twenty-five D1 All-Americans and seventy-five D1 national qualifiers. There have also been 12 National Champions in other collegiate divisions, with 33 All-Americans. The 2016 ETR field looks to be another strong contingent of quality teams, with plenty of depth in competition. Teams scheduled to compete in 2016 include:

*6 teams that were nationally ranked in 2014-15

*7 teams that competed in the PIAA State Dual Championships

*2 of the top 10, 4 of the top 12, 7 of the top 20 from the PIAA AAA State Tournament

*4 of the top 15 from the PIAA AA State Tournament
